Mafia Wars Collections, Collection Items, Strategy, Leveling Guide, and Add List

In the facebook version of Mafia Wars, collections sets of items that drop randomly while doing jobs. Each collection is tied to a specific job tier (i.e. soldier, enforcer, hitman, etc.) and the items from each collection a chance to drop when doing jobs of the corresponding tier. When you collect a full set, you can “vault” the items (an option under the inventory tab) for a permanent stat bonus.

You can get points and be promoted to different levels by doing daily actions in Yoville. Your current points and level are shown on top of your Yoville-screen, right under “change appearance”-box:

Hoovering your mouse over the point-bar shows you ways to get more points, and clicking your current level-number opens a box with info what’s coming up in the next level.

After the huge sitting feature that was added to the game, YoVille developers updated many items to allow us to sleep on beds! Yes, you can lay down on your bed after a long day of work at the Widget Factory. Toilets were also updated and you can now sit on them.

Here’s the story, of a lovely lady…” If you grew up in the U.S. in the 1970s, you’ll know that’s the opening line of the theme to the television show, The Brady Bunch. It also served as the inspiration for a hidden feature in the last release of Yahoo! Messenger for Windows Vista that we’re internally referring to as Matrix Mode.

Matrix mode expands on the tabbed conversations feature in Yahoo! Messenger for Vista. Tabs are handy for keeping your desktop free of multiple IM windows, but sometimes staying on top of all your conversations can be tricky.

Inspired by the grid in the opening credits of The Brady Bunch, hitting Ctrl + Alt + Shift + b on your keyboard will turn your tabbed conversation window into one single window with a matrix of boxes, each showing an IM conversation.

Once you’re in Matrix Mode, just click on the conversation you want to jump into and start typing. A white box around the conversation indicates which one you’re in. As you’re in one conversation, you can easily see messages coming in on the others, so it’s easy to read and respond quickly to IMs. As more conversations open, the layout will adjust to accommodate them.

To activate Matrix Mode, start a few IM conversations and then be sure to condense them into one window as tabs. You can do that by dragging the bottom tab of one window into another, or hitting Ctrl + , (ctrl plus comma) on your keyboard. Once your conversations are in a tabbed window, hit Ctrl + Alt + Shift + b to enter Matrix Mode.

Build 73 now lists all the languages that are more than 25% complete in our translation wiki (26 Languages so far, not including English!). So dive in and help out with the translation effort!

Drag-and-drop creation of tabs is also supported in Build 73. We are continuing to monitor your feedback on the new tabbed containers and will be making further tweaks and enhancements as necessary.

From the Yahoo! Yodel Corporate Blog:As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, Microsoft made an unsolicited proposal to acquire Yahoo! yesterday evening. Since then, we’ve gotten quite a number of questions about what this means for Yahoo!. Right now our board of directors is evaluating the proposal and looking at all of our strategic alternatives, including maintaining Yahoo! as an independent company.
